RE: Baseball 2016
Designation of Home & Visiting Teams / Uniforms & Dugouts
For the First Round (Day 1) of the Tournament, the higher seed shall begin as the designated home team and shall wear white uniforms if it owns white uniforms. The visiting team must wear a contrasting color uniform than the home team. Failure to follow proper uniform protocol may result in game delay.
After the first round of play, the home team shall be determined by the following formula:
1. The games committee shall designate as home team the institution that has been home team the fewest times.
2. If two teams have been home team an equal number of times but visiting team an unequal number of times, the team that has been the visitor most often shall be designated as home team.
3. If two teams have been both home team and visiting team an equal number of times, the highest seeded team shall be designated as home team.
4. For the championship game, if only one team is undefeated it shall be designated as home team. If both teams have an equal number of losses the higher seed shall be designated as home team.
5. If teams play back-to-back games, they must be prepared to change uniforms and dugouts if necessary.
The Tournament Director will assist with proper uniform selections at the conclusion of each game/day of the Tournament. At the conclusion of Day 1, the home team will have the option to choose which uniforms it will wear for the following game. Once determined, the visiting team must wear uniforms of a contrasting color. Teams are to bring, at a minimum, two sets of uniforms, one white and one dark.
Only players in uniform and persons issued proper credentials shall be permitted in team dugouts. The third base dugout will be the home team dugout and the first base dugout will be the visiting team dugout.

Miami has been eliminated. That was the only team with a respectable record, still sub .500

Well it couldn't be any better. Number 1 seed KSU vs. 6, 7 and 8 seeds. CMU, WMU and EMU are left. We have to defend Ohio from the Michigan invasion.

Even though ranked 23rd our SOS is so bad it's win or go home. Correct? If the MAC is this bad what else can we do? The AD won't spend money to send them South more than twice. Any thoughts?

The first weekend is a killer. Three losses against some good teams. A win might have made a difference.
Thoughts: it's been a great year. Hopefully, it won't end this weekend.

I have been looking at some metrics. As of this moment, our RPI is 61. The problem is we only played 6 games total vs. RPI 1-100 teams and we went 1-5. We truly do need a more challenging OOC schedule. Need to go west and play a series against someone like Arizona State or CSF. Or both. If you take 2-3 games out of 6-8 games you look really good. At that point saying you went 2-4 or 3-3 against those teams is good. Imagine if we went 4-2. Then with our record we are a lock.

Last year, Radford (RPI #14) and Liberty (#65) were really good teams. The OOC schedule looked pretty tough before the season. It was just that the teams they played weren't as tough as they were last year.

CMU is ahead of WMU 4-0. That's what we want. If CMU wins and we beat EMU, whoever we would play tomorrow would have to beat us twice.

B1 EMU hits a solo shot. Hit the OF glove before bouncing over the wall. 1-1

Flashes not looking especially sharp early. Just had a runner on 1st base picked off by the catcher with 2 on and 1 out.

Losing 3-1 now as catcher throws the ball away with a runner on 3rd.
