Absolutely. And some of them (Sean Obi - complete bench-warmer at Duke; Dylan Ennis, out for season and career at Oregon with foot injury) probably realize now that the grass isn't necessarily greener on the other side.

Dylan Ennis started 36 games for Villanova last season. Villanova was ranked in the Top 10 most of the season, won the Big East, and made the NCAA tournament. I doubt he regrets transferring away from Rice.

He transferred from Rice because he thought he was a sure shot for the NBA like his little brother. Unfortunately for him he isn't even close. A freshman took his sport at Nova this year (which is why he's at Oregon).

It's incredibly frustrating to watch a team completely hamstrung by injuries like our basketball team is, continue to show great potential but fail to realize their full potential, consistently, basically because they don't have enough bodies on the bench.

Hopefully the injury bug stays away next year - we could be in for a real treat.
Hopefully you also avoid transfers by young players. I feel like Rice has had several good young players in recent years that have transferred.

I think we will mostly avoid that. The transfers in the past were primarily due to a racist AD, a snowballing effect from the initial transfers (IMO), a lack of playing time, and a change in coaching.

I think we will retain everyone of importance, so long as they are drinking the Kool-Aid that Rhoades is selling.

I've definitely been a consistent consumer of the Rhoades Kool-Aid so far. So it pains me to type the following:

This was a bad and concerning loss. Didn't see it coming, at least not in the manner that it happened. I'm not down on the program yet by any stretch, but I sure don't want to see many more of these.

Next year will undoubtedly be better. I just want to see some more lasting improvement before this season ends.

As bad as the loss was, sometimes a game like that can be what a team needs. You know the staff and the players are going to be pissed off and motivated going into the game tomorrow, so I'd expect an improved performance. Doesn't necessarily mean we're going to win because ODU is the best defensive team in the conference, but I'd expect a close game.
