Tip-In Club Fans

What a great turnout for yesterday’s Tip-In Club Basketball Coaches Luncheon in the Legends Room at the Jack Stephens Center. 104 fans were in attendance. Great time with Coach Foley and Coach Beard and players Shanity James, Alexius Dawn, Mareik Isom, and Marcus Johnson Jr, as well as good food from Corky’s.

With Xavier’s loss to Creighton yesterday, our Little Rock Trojans Men’s Basketball team has the best record in Division I college basketball. They continue to be the best defensive team in the nation.

The Sun Belt Tournament is only a month away. Please purchase your Sun Belt Tournament tickets today by contacting John Dippel at 565-UALR (8257) or jedippel@ualr.edu. Tickets may be purchased for $115 through the Little Rock Ticket Office and can be upgraded to VIP tickets for an additional $100. VIP ticket books include a ticket to each men’s and women’s games closer to the action and access to a hospitality area that includes food and beverages throughout the tournament. Little Rock fans are encouraged to buy tickets from the Trojan Ticket office as institutional tickets are reserved for sections behind the team benches.

Your club will be holding a post-game social in New Orleans for Tip-In Club Fans attending the tournament. We will shortly be asking fans to advise us of who is going to the tournament so we my make a special email list for those attending, to advise of the social details. The club will provide free food at a restaurant across from Lake Front Arena. Make your plans to attend this year’s tournament. It is a special year!

If the attendance at the coaches luncheon keeps growing, where are you going to put them? Out on the concourse? It was very crowded yesterday.

Crowded is good. We can always have athletic dept staff eat on the concourse if necessary but it is a good problem to have.
