I may be wrong here, but when Bowles transferred from UT, I thought he denied that there had been an altercation as some have reported. There are conflicting reports on the fight though.

This lawsuit is trying to reach back to the Manning years at UT. Trying to compare Butch Jones inviting Lil John to hang out with the team for a day to promoting rape culture..... Blaming the AD bc it happened at an off campus apt of an athlete.

UT has recently settled two lawsuits which have involved former employees over discrimination. Both cases had a lot of holes in them, but they were dragging out and probably going to cost UT more in legal fees over the long haul than the cost to settle them. Personally, I think the lawsuit was timed in hopes of trying to get UT to settle prior prior the criminal trial that is the center piece of this trial. Based on some interesting Facebook comments, it appears the "Lady Vol Mafia" (as dubbed by some) who has been upset with the aforementioned discrimination suits and out cries over the Lady Vol name change may be dabbling in the case behind close doors. After all, their main focus has been to get rid of the AD, Chancellor, and President.

I agree, this seems just like a well timed court filing. There is currently A LOT of turmoil at UTK and no better time to file a lawsuit alleging that there is wide and sweeping acceptance of rape and sexual assault by administrators who are already under fire for other things.
