No one really likes Hillary. The people that vote for her probably don't even like her.

Not a surprise. Hillary is a crochety, old white lady with tired ideas. Young people can see right through people who are pandering to them or trying to be "hip".

Bernie is an EXTREMELY crochety, old white man with ideas that were debunked after WWII & the Cold War... but hey, free stuff, am I right?!?!?

In Bernie's reelction bid for senate he got half of the black vote in Vermont. Marcus was feeling the Bern but his wife Natasha was not.

Hillary's voters:

- Old women who want to see a woman president before they die
- Dems who are worried Bernie will lose the general
- Dems concerned about "international experience"
- Dems nostalgic for Bill and the 90s
- Union voters listening to their national leaders
- Single issue gun voters who see Hillary as to the left of Bernie on that

Oh, really? Where did HE say that you were a ward of the state? Oh, yeah, that's right, he didn't, either. Try to pay attention.
he replied to your post, tard...stop trying to talk to me...

He replied to my post, which did not say you were a ward of the state, and his post did not say that you were, either. What we both said is that you would probably love to be, and you've done nothing but confirm that.

Funny. In 2012 the Democrats told us they were tired of old white people being in power in America.

The Democrats have already given us the first woman winner of the Iowa caucuses and the first non Christian winner of a primary.

The Republicans have given us the first pumpkin to win New Hampshire.

Its not just the young. People loathe this sleaze bag for good reason. Nothing says establishment shills and political favors like getting waxed by 20+% in NH with the super delegates in her pocket to walk away from that primary with as many delegates as Sanders, you know, actually earned.

Hereditary democrats will still hold their noses and vote for Her Highness despite knowing better.

Funny. In 2012 the Democrats told us they were tired of old white people being in power in America.

now they're older, withering, and broke....

the boomers are going to break your bank....you just don't know it yet....

funny how things evolve in 'system', eh?

Clinton is the establishment candidate. That isn't a bad thing. The country runs on the establishment. Rapid / radical change will ruin the country, whether it is in the form of Bernie's socialism or Cruz' Tea Party. Barring a sudden resurrection of Bush or the GOP unifying around a dark horse Kaisich (spell) there isn't a establishment candidate coming out of the Republican primary. Clinton wins and as much as those on the right ***** and complain the country runs relatively smoothly. If the GOP puts forth one of the establishment candidates they probably beat Clinton and those on the left ***** and complain and the country runs relatively smoothly.

You make some valid points, particularly with regard to the short term. The concern that I have is that we have a number of adverse long term trends that are not getting addressed by sticking with the establishment:

- The debt and budget deficits (and note that Obama's proposed budget starts growing the deficit again, even more in the out years)
- The even bigger fiscal threat of unfunded off-budget liabilities, like the future of social security and entitlement programs
- The threat of terrorism
- Decline/loss of American prestige in world affairs, as we expend resources hopelessly in no-win limited wars
- The resurgence of Russia and the growing threat of China
- Our balance of trade deficit
- Our transition to a retail/service economy, with more manufacturing outsourced, inevitably increasing income and wealth dispersion
- Global warming/climate change (however real it is, it needs to be included and addressed)
- The increasingly intrusive nature of government interference in basic human and economic rights

Rocking along fat, dumb, and happy is not addressing any of these. And I haven't heard much from any candidate--mainstream or not--about how to address any of those.

That's a load of garbage.

"Running smoothly" =

Establishment Dems and GOPers passing NAFTA and permanent normal trade relations with China costing us millions of manufacturing jobs and gutting the middle class

Establishment Dems and GOPers siding with for profit insurance companies to keep tens of millions uninsured and people getting ripped off by drug companies and at hospitals

Establishment Dems and GOPers taking money from defense contractors and starting wars in the Middle East costing trillions of dollars and thousands their lives with countless others maimed

Establishment Dems and GOPers cutting funding to public higher education and kids graduating with $30,000 debt on average with an 8% interest rate

Establishment Dems and GOPers deregulating Wall Street so they become too big to fail and engage in rampant speculation that brings down the economy and cost millions their jobs, homes and pensions

Establishment Dems and GOPers giving tax breaks to the rich and watching all productivity gains go to the rich.

Establishment Dems and GOPers holding down the minimum wage so Wal Mart and their billionaire owners can pay their employees so little they need to go on food stamps and Medicaid.

Oh but it's all RUNNING SMOOTHLY because REASONS! If we let an outside in the White House he might crash the economy and start a quagmire in the Middle East!
