Sanders stopping Clinton is fine with me.
Any country that is crazy enough to elect Bernie is crazy enough to elect a house and senate that will give him what he wants. May only last two years, like with Obama, before people come to their senses. But two years is long enough to do serious and irreparable damage.
you said the same drivel about Obama...you're simply scared to death of socialism...time to get over it.
Um, Bernie Sanders actually IS a socialist as defined by *himself* (as opposed to a reflexive "socialism" label that the Tea Party/Club for Growth crowd throws around against anyone that proposes a government program). Obama is Milton Friedman compared to Sanders and Clinton might as well be Ayn Rand by comparison. The fact that people under 30 now seem to be totally cool with abandoning the free market system should be much scarier to any sane fiscal conservative than stopping Clinton. That's the bigger picture.
that has zero to do with what I said...good work!
no one said Bernie isn't a socialist...
Ann Rand is a crappy writer...
Socialism doesn't scare me...
good day.

I'm not afraid of socialism, I'm opposed to it. You would be, too, if you comprehended what it actually involved.
I disagree, you're scared of it.
Notice I'm not voting for Sanders...
But I also don't spend my time freaking out over the thought of socialism and Sanders.
I have nothing to fear from socialism. People who are already rich have little worry. None of Bernie's tax proposals has any significant effect on me. Health care will suck, and at my age that's important, but as long as there are airplanes and passports that problem can be solved. I'll just have to spend more on that phase of my life than I would have before Obamacare.
The people who should be scared of Bernie are your generation. Those who are creative and innovative and aspire to a better future will have those aspirations crushed. Of course, as nearly as can be determined from your posts on here, you have none of those attributes, so you may be perfectly happy as a ward of the state.
I suppose you favor Hillary. And right now, I'm inclined to think that she may be the least bad option.

RE: Young Folks Don't Like Hillary
As someone with a 401K and other investments, the prospect of massive capital flight and its ripple effect is frightening... See France and how they felt the shock after Hollande's election. And anyone who works in the private sector by a for-profit corporation ("they ain't gonna like me", says Sanders) should be wary of someone so openly hostile toward free market capitalism. Safety nets are fine, but socialism is too much 'from the makers, to the takers.'
I don't expect an apocalypse, and there are some things on the social and foreign policy side of the ball I'd agree with Sanders on. But, yeah, a Red Bern presidency is a bit scary to me. But a Trump presidency is also a bit scary to me. And these are our major party "frontrunners."

No doubt. The irony is that this is occurring because there are actually a lot more independents in the middle of the political spectrum than ever before, which is leaving both the Republican and Democratic primary electorates more ideological with fewer moderates. In speaking of the terms of socialism/capitalism as applied to politics, this is effectively a political market failure. We have a middle of the political spectrum that is growing, much larger than the bases of either party, and looking for a middle-of-the-road president, but because those in the middle aren't participating in the primary process in as great of numbers, that's actually empowering fringe candidates on both the right and left and resulting in even worse general election candidates (whether by actually nominating those fringe candidates or forcing the more electable candidates to take more ideological stances). Neither the Republicans nor Democrats are selling a product that can actually attract the independent voters that determine general elections, so we're in a perpetual cycle of deciding the lesser of two evils. It's really disappointing.

While I don't think that Clinton can take ANYTHING for granted at this point, it's a totally different ballgame when going from a state where POC in *total* constitute only 7% of the electorate to a place like South Carolina where a straight up majority of the Democratic primary electorate is African-American (and that's not including other POC).

It's different, sure. But I have yet to hear a compelling reason why Hillary has a stone cold lock on the POC vote. In my experience, and judging from the exit polls thus far, they're willing to give him a hearing.
