Speaking of Fishers, Derek Fisher was fired as the Knicks head coach. I guess he can go back to scandals involving other NBAer's and extramarital affairs.

He was Phil Jackson's puppet no matter how folks want to spin it.

Adrian Wojnarowski was on local (Los Angeles) talk radio this afternoon and was asked about the possibility of Phil leaving New York and re-joining the Lakers. He did not dismiss it. In fact, it's not much of a reach: Byron Scott is probably gone after this year, Jim Buss's plan to resurrect the Lakers has no chance, and Phil would probably rather be closer to longtime girlfriend Jeanie Buss (who also happens to run the Lakers).

Not really fired up about that. I'd much rather the Lakers go after Thibodeaut.

It's about time for Phil Jackson to retire...or at least go back to being CEO/founder of that chicken chain of restaurants.

I don't understand why nobody is questioning this move. Fisher did about as well as he could with the roster he was given. They have no PG. Their only guards are either old or super young and inexperienced and really only profile as bench players. Of their 4 best players, 2 are over 30 mid range jump shooters, one is a solid, but unspectacular center and the 4th is a rookie who isn't KAT. They're currently 12th in the conference, which is about where I'd expect a team with that roster to be. The Magic, Hornets and Wizards are the only non-playoff teams ahead of the Knicks, and all 3 had top 8 expectations coming into the season.
