I'm certainly sorry to hear this, but I guess that means we can finally hire him when Coach Beard is one and done.

I don't even know who Matt Barnes is. Of course I can't even remember all the Republican Presidential candidates this year. And I'd like to be able to forget the Democratic candidates. Where is Harry Truman when you really need him?

Hopefully he's been saving his money. He is an extremely sharp young man, and will probably be able to do TV if he wishes. He's still the best advertisement for our basketball program that we have ever had. I'd love to see him get another chance at a program with great talent. He didn't have it at New York.

Teammate, I'm not sure. If they were truly "good" friends, I can't disagree with your assertion.

So you guys think its OK to date your friend's ex wife. Good thing I don't have friends in Little Rock.

It's been reported that they were friends when they were teammates. I'm not excusing Barnes behavior. He got a call from his kids because they were uncomfortable with "Uncle Derek" at their house. He overreacted.

I'd take him at ASU in a couple months. We could certainly do far worse, though I'd prefer collegiate experience.

I doubt he'll go into college coaching. He'll find a job in the NBA, maybe as an assistant, or maybe as a head coach in time. And if that doesn't work out, you'll see him on TV as an analyst. Derek is big time now, and I think that's his life from now on. Unless he comes back to coach at Little Rock when and if Coach Beard decided to move on.
