Walking out was ONE part, acting like a kid that lost a T-Ball game a large part of it as well. Quit telling people what they are mad or what bothered them. Yes in SUPER BOWL down less than a touch you dive for the ball.

With that in mind, I find it very unfair how Manning was excused after the 2010 Super Bowl for walking off the field without shaking hands with Drew Brees or other Saints players because he was so devastated, while Newton is "immature," and a "poor sport" for walking out of the press conference. Personally, I would have liked both to have responded to their Super Bowl losses with a little more grace, but I understand that sometimes people's best doesn't come out when they're at low moments. It doesn't make either a terrible person. They're flawed, but I think their good qualities outweigh their bad ones.

And who put the Broncos presser within ear shot of the Panthers presser?

Who cares and it is common after a Super Bowl because you have way more media. Did his feelings get hurt hearing another guy speak. Thin skin.

LOL. Who cares?

LOL Obviously you since you keep posting

There is no spin involved kid. The difference is that now you have a billion cameras, social media etc. and people have too much time on their hands. Plus youre told you have to choose a side. Hate hi or love him. Gotta choose. Wht do you hate him? Oh because he is a cocky quarterback (name one who isnt), because he showboats after scoring (Billy White Shoes Johnson? Deon Sanders? Aaron Rodgers?). So he got pissed a few minutes after the biggest game of his life because he was within ear shot of his opponent smack talking ("Can you throw the ball?"). So we are talking two days later about him walking out. Would I have walked out? Maybe not. But I understand perfectly why he did.

I agree. But I wasn't there in that split second. I would have tried even if I broke my arm but I can understand the "live to play another series" mentality. Especially since there were two players in mid dive while he was still standing. At any rate I think going 18/41 with an Int and no TDs and getting sacke 11,345 times was more the cause of them losing than that fumble.

Call me crazy, but it looks like he may have been trying to avoid colliding with teammate Ryan Khalil (#67), which could have caused injury and prevented either of them from getting the ball. It's hard to fault him for that when you look at the GIF. Khalil is darn close to wrapping up that ball.

Kid lol. Again quit telling people why they don't like Cam or his behaviour. You set up strawmen like no other. Search interviews for all the losing Super Bowl QB's and tell me how many acted like a child. Russell Wilson is the least cocky person I have seen in years. There is a difference in being disappointed, acting like a professional making millions and supposed leader of a team and what he did. There is also a difference in celebrating in the moment with true emotion and not the contrived constant over the top pre planned crap. This is not a one time thing either he has pouted many times before, we will see it again and you will have ample opportunity to make more excuses.

All eyes and mics on me when things are good but......whaaaaaaa when we lose. Again its not the first time. That is what bothers me incase you actually care. The celebrating is lame but like I said as long as Panther fans accept it oh well they buy the tickets.

I get the "live to play another series" bit, but we aren't talking the start or mid of the game, this was the worst time for it to happen and it sealed the game up. I can totally understand the frustration from Carolina fans.

Also, this is a tough guy we are talking about. I can't tell you how many Falcon DTs/LBs hit this guy and he wouldn't go down.

Crazy. His eyes are directly on the ball, I dont know why he just did not kick the thing looking at that.

That is what I am looking at. How does he dive on that? The ball is at his feet not out in front of him. Unless he tries to reach for it as other players are in mid dive.

RE: OT-- Denver does it
Cam Newton is a jerk, and then people get upset because he is not LOVED, LIKED. They find all kinds of reasons that have nothing to do with him being a jerk. Nobody needs to LIKE any of these guys. I can appreciate their play and totally not like them as people, and visa versa.

In 2009 Manning walked off the field without shaking Brees's hand. NOLA Saints fans noticed it, but fifteen minutes later he was the perfect gentleman in the post game presser. Excuses were that Manning did not want to steal the moment from Brees. Really?

In this case Jordan did the right thing right after the game, and after cooling off time became sullen and withdrawn. He and his supporters will be the first to find fault for him not getting Manning, Brees, and Jordan type endorcement contracts. Maybe it isn't anything but his attitude does not sell high dollar cars.

It's the Super Bowl. There should be no second guessing. You may never be back.
If you're up 30 pts on the Titans in a meaningless game, it's almost understandable. When you're behind a score in the final quarter of the Super Bowl....

I appreciate all of the quotes of my post but you people have no idea what my relatives are like. They're likening Cam to the uppity slave from the ante bellum south. Seriously, I can read in their posts what they're not saying. It's scary that these are the people I grew up with. (in NJ, no less)

Honestly, makes me ashamed to be related to them right now.

Once a Scam always a Scam.

For all I heard about Newton as this game changing revolutionary, I expected more.

. . . why would he be anything else in defeat?
