The GOR doesn't last forever......the ACC's game plan of 'we don't have to change....we are all prisoners' is gonna fail.

Well the GOR expires at the same time the ESPN contract does (after the 2026-2027 season).

I don't think ND would have to pay that amount. 3x whatever they get isn't outrageous for them to buyout. They are party to the GoR and would have to challenge that. Seems like they would have a harder time than others though since they demanded a contract for some content outside the GoR. The ACC and ND worked together to purposefully include them in the GoR. They went to extra effort to make that happen. Perhaps it means nothing regarding the letter of the law, but it does to the spirit of the agreement.

It's my understanding that the ACC Exit Fee is 3X the league's annual operating budget, and has nothing to do with whether the school gets a full share or not... so Notre Dame would owe the full amount in the [unlikely] even they decided to break the contract.
