It's fairly simple actually. Memphis can only really thrive in a run-n-gun style offense. The other team must shoot poorly and help play into this style. If you are a team playing a Pastner team you implement a well structured half-court offense with plenty of internal passing and screens. You play a collapsing man-to-man or zone defense and if a Memphis player or two are hot from behind the 3 point line you continue to let that player shoot. You don't need to defend the 3 very well against a Pastner team.

Cinncy isn't doing any of these things well right now. They will figure it out though. Every good team does against us. This era of Memphis team is the absolute easiest to play against i've ever seen.
