Which recruiting site?
Which site is more credible 247 or rivals? The ranking differ quite a bit depending n which one you look at.
It's not looking at the AP and Coaches poll in rankings which usually do not differ to much.

Whichever you prefer to be honest. 247 is owned by the guy who use to do rivals.

Neither. Most sites agree on the best players and most of those pan out. The further you o down the star list the more uncertain it gets. Highly ranked players flop. Unstated players succeed. Lots of reasons. Lots of variables.
All you can do is watch a lot of film, see them in person, listen to people you trust.

RE: Which recruiting site?
Just remember, a lot of walk ons end up being All Conference and All Americans. Not to belabor an old point I made a few times....my son in law was part of a great recruiting class for the TEXAS LONGHORN football program back in the 80s's. A year later, half of that class was no longer enrolled in school. Too much partying, injuries, personal problems, character issues....not making grades and other problems caused their demise.

Point taken but you would have to show me the "lots"of All Americans who started as walk-ons. I know it has happened but my unsupported guess would be only a very few ever got to All American. Let's not go to prehistoric days for proof, just since the rise of recruiting sites.

In football that's more true than in basketball, however, percentage wise more 3-star players become good college players than 2 and no star players. It's just more hit or miss.

RE: Which recruiting site?
Don't focus on individual players - focus on overall classes. All the ranking sites are essentially the same.
