The Owls come to Bartow Arena, for the Bartow Classic, with records of 6-17 and 4-6. They only won two conference games last season, and one was a home victory over UAB, 62-59.
FAU's best win to date is a 63-61 home win over LaTech (144). Their worst loss occurred early in the season, at a neutral site, where Lipscomb (264) beat them.
FAU lost Thursday night at MT, 85-73.
By the way, the Owls went to WKU and lost in OT about a month ago.
FAU's OOC SOS is rated 32nd toughest by Pomeroy.
After 7 home games, the Owls average attendance is 1,205.
KenPom.com has it UAB 73 - FAU 60.

I thought he took care of the ball better Thursday than I've ever seen. I only remember 2 TOs and they were both walks.

You're right. A couple mishandles at Marshall. I recall him getting some huge strips on Illinois' bigs early this season before the game got away from us. He does well with the bigger slower guys.
UAB's sinking spells of malaise have been marked by missed lay ups, missed short jumpers and missed FTs while giving up similar shots to the opponent. A lead can evaporate rather quickly in such periods if the opponent is making their shots.
Is such play perhaps the result of trying too hard to draw fouls rather than concentrating on making the basket? It appears to me that many such misses show a lack of "touch" so that the ball is shot so hard it goes over the basket or bangs off the goal for a rebound.
