I actually get your sentiment there, but I disagree with you because of the fact that Bama is not the only one that does it. I've seen fans do it for Paterno, Wooden, Lombardi, Spurrier and others. I doubt it will catch on as a widespread thing, but I wouldn't mind seeing it happen sometimes.

I think Coach Bartow would be amused by it.

I don't see the harm in it. If we were doing it every game, then yes, I'd be critical of it. Since it was done at an event called the "Gene Bartow Classic," then I don't see the harm in it, as long as it's done in a respectful way.

I had my picture made with him. He also tailgates with us.

Why the Geez? I stated my opinion. I stated it first so I'm not being a contrarian. I haven't trust anyone for having an alternate opinion. I even said it was probably just me. yet I'm getting a Geez. You don't like my opinion. That's OK.

my opinion stands. You having your picture with him doesnt change it.
