Bowen
If a change isn't made at the end of the year should the focus turn to Bowen? He has done a lot for football and facilities, but played a big role in this bad contract situation.

If it was my choice, I would swap a lesser basketball team for a significantly improved football team in a heartbeat. The trick will be to sustain the football program. If that is the barometer, Bowen wins.

If Bowen goes to USC, can we trade him for the basketball coach who is married to Amanda Marcum?

The issue is for 3 lower level basketball tickets I pay just under $5000 including my donation. For 3 40 yard line football tickets I pay $600

Basketball is bringing in the money. Not being in a Power 5 conference, Memphis has a unique opportunity to make money from football and basketball if the football success can be sustained.

Even with the low basketball attendance this season we are still drawing pretty well when compared nationally.

With the high buyout I would hate to be Bowen. Tough decisions that must be made or the whole department may sink.

I may be wrong, but I'm willing to bet he had nothing to do with anything involving Pastner. The people that are actually signing the checks had to sign off on that.

Exactly. As important as football is, it's basketball that supports our athletic department. Football, at Memphis, is a money loser and it always will be unless we get scooped up by a P5 conference... or move into a stadium that allows the department to change $30 per ticket.
