Cincy should take the lead on this. Feel free to schedule the entire MVC league next season. Cincy fans should be really excited for that. That'll really show us!

mo valley teams usually have better RPI's than those losers you play...like SW Grand Canyon Tech and Indian Farming U and Texas Prairie School for the Limp Wristed

Cincy a sister school?

Wichita State president says they would add football at the FBS level and would skip FCS. He mentioned a long relationship in the past with schools like Houston, Memphis, Cincinnati and especially Tulsa. Looks like he is focused on our league.

I'd just take their Olympic sports with condition we will add football team if we lose a member.

I can't see how people can be up in arms about the idea of adding UMass, yet ok with Wichita St. Put this in the check back in 15-20 years column after there is an actual program to consider.

UMass basketball has had one "decent" year (2014) since the late 90s.

Going forward, Wichita State basketball >>>>>>>>>>>>> UMass basketball.

Baseball is an added bonus and the WBB team has a pulse. Wichita has great fan support and a state that actually gives a sh!t about them.

I support adding Wichita Olympic sports until they meet AAC facility requirements to become a full member.

I support the addition of UMass ONLY if we lose Cincy and U_F. Otherwise it doesn't make sense geographically to add them.

The perfect storm would be to do the quoted where they start as an independent until they meet the requirements and/or are needed.

Id go further. Take em as a non-football member. No promises regarding football other than they would be considered as a candidate during expansion (meaning we take whoever adds the most value, and if its not Wichita, then its not Wichita).

Sounds good on paper but reality is when their foot is in the door they get an invite over another program. That said, taking Wichita State Olympic makes sense with 11 members. If they are willing to heavily invest in football and we have an opening, they can slide in.

I think Wichita State can be a jewel in the near future. I have no doubt their football team would be supported with an AAC schedule. Getting large crowds for Olympic sports (baseball and basketball) proves they are passionate.

Add them...why not? We could use another ncaa team.

10K to support a consistent top 20 basketball team in indoor comfort is completely different from getting 30K to watch a bad start up team get whipped in the elements. Not saying they cant do it---but there is certainly no guarantee. UTSA started out big because they were the hot new ticket. The losing gets old fast and their attendance has dropped every year (and they play in a climate controlled "NFL" quality palace compared to the 47 year old Wichita track stadium that would be the Shocker home).
