Interesting point. According to the "real graphs" this years recruiting class (by strength) matched 2013's recruiting class, a year when we had Louisville and Rutgers in the conference.

but imagine if the gap is this big now, what happens when ucf/usf/smu start winning cause all 3 are recruiting at a fraction of their capabilities

but c-usa fan always swear they are better than the aac and justify it with normally silly reasons. but if you look at the stats that indicate strength they have no grounds...

navy, who must enlist all football players, out recruited all but 3 c-usa teams, and one of those was uab who has a double class, one was marshall who lives on non-qualifiers, and last was la tech who barely and i mean barely outranked navy

I think the massive swing from last year to this year, besides the obvious NY6 berth, is the standard that has been set with the hires of Montgomery, Morris, Frost, Norvell, and the keeping of Herman and Rhule. Not only did the programs increase the salaries of the coaches, but also the staff, and i'm willing to bet the budgets for recruiting have gone up as well. With better recruiting from a better budget, and more competent coaches, that difference will only widen and a G5 game will shortly become synonymous with 'cupcake'
It's going to take a few years and continued success. The good news is that the competition to get to the p5 has brought out the best in all of our schools. And don't forget we held Taggart.
