As if there weren't enough bowl games, now we're stuck watching something called the Super Bowl.

I know, no one around here cares about it given the lack of talk about it leading up to it. Good luck to the Broncos and Panthers. Cam Newton on being a black QB and Peyton Manning in his last game or so you'd think.

Also, I wonder if they're gonna play by NFL or NHL rules?

I don't watch any of the Pregame...it wears me out....will get to my Super Bowl Party right at 6:30...will leave at Half Time and watch the 2nd Half at home...completely miss the halftime show.

Enjoy Championship Sunday much more than Super Bowl Sunday...

I don't watch pregame shows for any sporting event now, so there's no reason I'd watch a pregame show that lasts 10 hours or whatever.

I think the mostly unspoken theme of this game (among people who are not fans of either team) is, "Let's hope that the Broncos don't lose by 30 in Peyton Manning's last game." Of course, the last time a team was this heavily favored was when the 18-0 Patriots played the Giants, so you never know, I suppose.

I'll be watching but not the pregame or the post game shows. Hopefully the commercials will be better this year, I don't think that they have lived up to the hype over the last few years.

I've got a potential Lunar New Year conflict. Sunday is New Years Eve and my wife's family always pulls out all the stops. Usually it means the tv is stuck on a channel with a bizarre mix of new year entertainment and local business-sponsored "commercials" that ends up being pretty tedious. But most of my brothers in law are football fans so I'm hopeful they'll be able to commandeer the tv until the game's over.

You mean ECU @ UConn in hoops?

Yeah, I am watching that one LOL.

***************

As for the Super Bowl, going to a part @ 5:30pm and taking a 6' sub. I will be decked out in full Panthers attire including my Black Cam Newton jersey since they are wearing black. Would love for the Panthers to bring this state its 2nd pro sports title. The Hurricanes got the Stanley Cup in '06.

The commercials have jumped the shark. I used to be the biggest fan and was glued to the set for the entire day except for maybe the halftime show if I didn't like the performer but most just aren't fun any more.
