There is only one Ray Lee on the team. I think you are wishing there was more than one Ray Lee because he such a phenomenal player. or am I misunderstanding your statement.

Let's lighten up on the matter, 79. EMU is gonna give us a win tomorrow. Let's enjoy it.

It is hard to predict a specific game, but on paper we have the BIG advantage in the paint with JT4 and Naz.

UB does NOT match up well there...

So overlooking the disclaimer, I see that you are predicting an EMU victory over Buffalo. This one of your posts I would definitely agree with.

I'm not predicting a win (or a loss), but more perplexed that UB is playing as well as they are and they don't match up well with us at all...

Vegas has UB a 5.5 point favorite. Is there an emoticon for a 'head scratcher'?

Lee's my guy...If our 2 best players start peaking now thru March, there is no telling what this team can accomplish. Please coach Murphy don't sabotage Raven's revival.

Effective coaching can overcome slight talent deficiencies. It can also turn mediocrity into greatness.

Well...I would say Murphy is known as a better coach than Nate Oats, so that argument is moot. EMU has more talent, the coaching matchup is a wash so Eastern wins! 02-13-banana

Well, I agree with that too. Buffalo has been over performing and EMU has been underperforming. Eventually the law of averages will rectify this imbalance. So I AM predicting a win.

COGS

Well put, Bob. Coach Murphy is the boss, so it is his call. But I would want to see Lee laying 30 minutes from here on out on the season.

Here's an article on "Freshman thriving on the edges" in mid-major play. Unsurprisingly, Thompson is one the 10 players mentioned.

Great article, Thanks Frank!

Interesting thing, other than a couple of those most were high recruits that for one reason or another opted for the smaller school that they are at. Rather than unknowns that have blossomed. I am wondering if these guys would be buried on the bench at larger schools. I hope recruits reallize they will be given more playing time from the start at the mid majors. And as Lee has shown, will still get some national attention.

Being better "known" does not necessarily mean better coach.

Now Murphy is a great coach but the fact Nate Oats is "lesser known" has nothing at all to do with his quality as a coach.

I hope everyone keeps thinking ub is this talentless train wreck all the way through Cleveland. We don't have any players being tapped for first team all mac but I'd put our depth up against most teams in the conference.

Getting back to the game: UB has won 5 of 6.

That, alone, makes this game hard to predict (unless one wants to pick UB).
