Different PA announcer?
I was at the game tonight and the PA announcer's voice sounded different than in any other game I've been to. Does anyone know if the regular one was out tonight or if we have a new one permanently?

He was not there tonight. Heard he was in San Francisco.

This announcer was the annoying in-game host that they've been using for football and basketball.

He's terrible no matter what they have him doing.

I hated hearing him while watching it on ESPN3. So freaking annoying - like listening to Dickie V's schtick that has been worn out for 20 years or more.

I didn't notice this one in the broadcast, but the regular one annoys me to no end.

This guy is far worse, he's the guy that does the goofy in-game stuff during football (and, unfortunately, basketball).

That's the word. Annoying.

Worst thing about the substitute PA announcer...he yells "JONATHAN WILLIAM"....with no "s" on the end. Annoys the hell out of me, lol.

His voice is also too high pitched for the mic. He doesn't know how to talk into it to make his voice sound better (not that I know how to, either).
