Some clarification:

Humanities will be demolished after new building goes up, probably in about two years. After that the site of the Humanities building will be new green space.

This matches up with the plans they've had for about 4 years now. In the Garrison era the plan was to actually replace Humanities instead of just leaving it green space, but I wouldn't bank on that for a good long time.

I wonder what the plan is for the bridge across 13th ?

I'm honestly amazed. A year ago I would have thought this was a nearly impossible outcome.

Bryant Jr no longer being on the Board is the main difference.

Since you said Jr, I will assume you meant he rolled over in his Bela Lugosi Signature Premium Memory-Foam Casket... the one he awakes from nightly to prey on unsuspecting UAB programs.

I saw a truck at the gas station the other day with a bammer plate that read BEARJR. I tried to see if it was Cubby, but this was in Opelika so I doubt it was him.

If I remember right, the firm hired to draw up the preliminary plans has a deadline of sometime in April to present their plan to the BJCC. I assume that after that we'll hear more about a possible construction timeline.

I believe the building and the covered facility will be one structure.
