Baseball Lead-off Banquet
Just curious if anyone on here went to the banquet on January 31 and can give us a little feedback on what was said.

RE: Baseball Lead-off Banquet
Just based off of twitter it was held at the same place as the signing day event tomorrow and it was a "packed house"...by the picture it seems they had about 150 in attendance.

Side note I would expect the same setup for tomorrows event but with 4-6 more tables.

They paid tribute to 3 past teams...1950, 1951 & 1972 who were all conference champs along with NCAA Regional team (72)

Lin Dailey represented the 72 team spoke to the group.

Bill Eiserman of the 50/51 team talked about how he graduated HS in 49 and came into college playing with "Grown Men" who had served in WWII.

They showed off the new Chi Sox logo NIU stuff. Yes NIU got the approval from CWS though it seems that we cannot sell them...which is a shame because many NIU fans on twitter want the hat. I sense a donor opportunity here.

They look pretty sharp!

I've always wanted one of the green St. Patrick's Day jerseys that the NIU baseball team has auctioned off a few times.

They had to get it approved by the white sox. I'm sure Yordon working with the Cell now helped the process

Because the CWS approved it.
