Confident he'll be a great addition next year.

Another great column Dan! Thanks.

Hope I don't come off sounding like a Cronin Croney but Mr. Washington sounds like a class guy and a class addition to the program. Hope his hoops skills earn as much praise as the other parts of his makeup that were mentioned by everyone in the article.

I remember him being an accomplished offensive player. Probably more of a face-up 4 if I remember correctly. Probably needs to improve on defensive but sounds like he is a high motor guy. I think we will be okay in the front court with him and Gary logging most of the minutes. I don't expect much from Brooks. Moore needs to get better in a hurry.

kid has real game experience so I will give him that...but I've read too many of these "he's the best player in practice" deals only to find the kid lay an egg with the lights come on. In his case at least we know he has played (in the ACC too) and has real world experience.

When the lights were the brightest he had his best games. Played extremely well against Duke, UNC, and in the NCAA Tourney.

Agree. He's started at a high level, he's hardly an unknown quantity dominating practice. One thing I did notice in his stats though is he was a low percentage shooter. Hopefully he's working on getting more high quality shots during his redshirt year

Crazy and Real Deal, agree with you both. No idea how anyone in his right mind can not be excited about Washington next year.

I don't think the issue will be Washington as much as his back up. What do we have for depth?

Tre is redshirting this year. Don't know if Brooks is an immediate impact guy.

Flip side.... we heard for a year about SK dominating practice in his year off before anyone had a clue he was a big deal. That worked out OK.

Probably not. But, I do think Scott will be ready.

Washington went to Hotchkiss School, which is one of those top New England prep schools where prominent American families send their children. He's supposed to be very smart and a good kid. Should step right in next year.
