Facts - NEVER AGAIN GET IT RIGHT THIS TIME.
A bit of advice reply this AM in "THE HORN" nationally read with the following reply.

Message to Jerry,
1976 – Gerald Ford – moderate – LOST
1980 – Ronald Reagan – “hard right” (according to the moderates) – WON biggest landslide to date
1984 – Ronald Reagan – “hard right” – WON even bigger landslide (49 states)
1988 – GHW Bush – right/moderate – WON as “Reagan’s 3rd Term”
1992 – GHW Bush – moderate (clearly by then his truer colors showed) – LOST
1996 – Bob Dole – moderate – LOST
2000 – GW Bush – Texas moderate (=right leaning) – WON in a squeaker of an electoral (LOST popular)
2004 – GW Bush – moderate – WON (a ham sandwich could have beaten John Dufus Kerry)
2008 – John McCain – moderate – LOST
2012 – Mitt Romney – moderate – LOST
2016 – “Experts” who told us no one else but a moderate can win, and the age of Reagan is over, have constantly ignored their own blunders, are constantly baffled by results (rendering them NOT the “experts” they claim to be), and despise true conservatives today as much as they tried to knee-cap Reagan in his day. In fact a lot of these experts were Ford guys—or Mondale, etc.!—and more recently for the Bushes (who were for Ford) or McCain, etc. BUT, they keep getting paid by rich dummies who think their “expert” opinions and guidance is still “expert”.

By the way—I like every one of these men as persons, as heroes in many respects—but your analysis is exactly backwards, for the most part, ever since Nixon resigned. By the way—the Dems are running candidates further and further into hard-left Marxist dictator territory, i.e. Carter, Clinton, Obama, and now Hillary/Bernie/Biden/Warren/???. In fact, Nixon had a much easier time winning because Johnson was screwing up Nam, and Humphrey and McGovern were so lefty fluffy pink; then Mondale and Dukakis were just unpalatably fluffy pink, and Gore was just a scary goofy idiot, and Kerry was just a haughty goofy idiot liar. But the RNC thinks that as the Dems go all-out Marxist, the counter-proposal GOP candidate should be a left-shift Republican moderate. But there is no real contrast there. Our “hard right” candidates are really just Constitutional conservatives who look like their far to the right, mainly because the center has shifted so far to the left. They have stood their ground while establishment Republican moderates have shoved their toes under the conservative feet and gotten their toes smashed, and are furious about it like little brats. My senior Senator is Addison Mitchell “Mitch” McConnell, who is the Soggy Old Diaper of the Senate who needs to be changed. He is almost a bigger liar than Harry Reid, but not quite. We have known who he really is for decades—he was a Ford supporter against Reagan and is now an Obama collaborator, in violation of his oath, his promises, and against the interests of every taxpayer in America.

Hopefully, the lesson this time was learned. DO NOT RUN A MODERATE... PERIOD.
