Quiet
never have seen this board so quiet 2 days prior to signing day. I really think social media has affected the last 10 days prior to signing day.

It's a combination of NIU football being on down trend and NIU basketball losing some of that positive outlook with a reverting to old habits

I want to believe you are not symptomatic of the Huskie fan base. Thats quite a give up attitude. And you want the program to go bigger. man, you are one negative person.

Negative? Hell MD's glass isn't even half empty; it has a gaping hole in the bottom where the last semblence of positive thoughts or hope have poured out.

His extreme sky is falling mentality gets old.

It's odd because I would think the opposite. If someone is not down after NIU quit in a football game I'd question their devotion

As a fan who has followed the program for 45 years, I remember when we could not quite win the MAC West or get even close to winning the MAC west. I have not given up on the program. The team had unbelievable bad luck with injuries this year so I have high hopes for next season.

RE: Quiet
Only a guy that NEVER competed would accuse a team full of competitors with a history of competing of quitting. MD is a disgrace as a fan because he is always the first one to quit on the Huskies. Hell –He even quits before the games start.

RE: Quiet
Good teams win the games they are supposed to win. Great teams win more than half of the ones they are supposed to lose. (yes, I made that part up). The B-Ball team is very young and not quite ready for the big time. They lack consistency because of their youth. That being said, the rest of this season will make or break this team heading into the conference tourney. I hope they pull it together with a win tonight and play like they are capable of playing. I think they are still a couple of players away from being that team that no one wants to play. Don't get me wrong, I think they have potential this year to go to the NCAA if they get it together and play complete games. But, I think the next 2 years will really be fun to watch. I hope Monty stays. He seems to be doing the right things with the team.

Let's just enjoy the quiet. Its much better than inconsistent rumors heard third-hand from the moms of ex girlfriends of fifth string cornerbacks.

When Hare went down, Carey saw that we were not deep at QB. He is trying to rectify the situation. He is bringing in a couple of QBs plus potentially a very good transfer. From Spring of last year, He had two QBs transfer, one was hurt all year, one of true freshman underwent minor surgery, and the starter went down with an injury. We had one RS freshman QB on scholarship that played well. We also had a true walk on freshman playing. After spring ball, not much you can do to strengthen your team but we might have 3 QBs coming in next year.

It is very difficult to keep backup QBs. They all want to play. If you have your starter, the heir apparent and a backup, your doing good. McIntosh leaving hurt because I thought he could throw pretty well and could run. Graham I don't think can stay healthy. Maddie at least knew the offense. We were fortunate that Lynch waited for Chandler. Its tricky

Last years QB problems were not caused by Carey or recruiting. The perfect storm hit the program After signing day last year. At the beginning of spring we had Hare, Maddie, McIntosh, Graham, and Root. At the start of the season we had Hare, Maddie, Graham, and Santa plus 2 walk ons. Befored first game, Maddie and Santa were out of commission. No coach could have foreseen this.
