But, many of his points are valid.

Funny. I thought Barton was a perfect example of how most players come through the Pastner program. One of the biggest knocks against Pastner is that players don't learn the skills needed for NBA or even professional play overseas. Not just a rumor. A lot of players and coaches feel that way.

Some true-NBA stuff is trash-Portland was loaded at Will's spot-nothing to do with anything but that and NORMAL player development. Will gives Josh credit for being in league (a stretch in my mind)

We all know Adonis took plays off and put too much bulk on to be a perimeter shooter; Black was a foul machine and still is; Byron Scott called him out recently.

Guy obviously knows nothing about NBA which I follow as much as CBB now. Barton never had a chance in Portland and needed time to work on 3 pt shot (as most young players do) which is above average now.

What he missed is JPs awful in game coaching which would take an hour to enumerate the flaws but just one example:

He starts EVERY game with the game plan of getting the ball inside. Other teams have figured this out. We FORCE passes to Shaq and Lawson too early and they are out too far and neither are good at putting it on floor and going to hole. Or Lawson air mails pass 3 feet over Shaq's arms in hig /low offense. Lawson pulls up dribble 4 feet from basket for some crazy reason and often gets ball stripped or he forces shot with 2-3 defenders on him and gets it blocked. Shaq is playing better but has too many turnovers and dumb fouls. His BB IQ is not good.

Kids are afraid to shoot open 3s early because they know they will get pulled. So we get down big early because Josh is so d*** hardheaded and doesn't adjust. Will not start his best 5 and that hurts a lot. Starting a FB player at point that hasn't played in almost 3 years and doesn't contribute much at all. Once again, we are down early. Can't dig ourselves out of hole every game due to bad coaching.

You're kidding right? Anybody can consistently beat bad teams. What's he done against the top 50 over 7 years? And top 25?
We will all wait on your answer.

He's competed well but come up just short. A couple of made shots here and there and this conversation is totally different.

Thanks for the laughs! Clearly you can't answer the question.

I'm gonna step in and help Mindfultrolltiger here. There is a poster named bluebacker. the answer to 450's question can be found in his signature. Now go on like a good lil kid and find that easter egg. when you do, come back and answer 450 clearly.

RE: Interesting read
I would like to know if this blogger was seeing Damon getting upset about the game, was there any conversations between Pastner and Damon?
From what I have seen, the assistants never have any imput during the games.

And a pink tie? No Tiger color ties, and Josh makes over 2 mill/year?

Add this guy to the list of refs, ex players, media, and the portion of our fanbase out to get Pastner.

That's not Josh's fault. If they wanted to double your salary at work would you say "no thanks"? He has the best contract in college basketball.

It is HIS fault if he doesn't perform. Do you honestly think that the university is getting what "they" bargained for? Pastner's checks clear, so he is getting his benefit.

You can't have it both ways, that he is doing pretty good, yet being paid extremely well. The contract is the contract and while he MUST be paid, it is a east evaluator of his performance.

I'm happy to hear that. That lets me know that they notice all of the empty seats around them. More room to move around and mingle without tripping over the next person.
