All of their local writers have also been very critical. It's not just the message board people.

All this coming from The same expert that told the world Staley stinks and will never make it at CMU... All everything for the 49ers...

The only real comparison that matters for Western, is our standing within the MAC.. Number 1 for three years running and counting...
Dips just an angry little man

#1 in the MAC! Yeah, nothing better than being the biggest midget. I thought we were shooting for "The Boise of the Midwest," or a team "competing for a national championship."

I didn't realize that that meant almost out recruiting Bill Cubit, who had a whole three months to cobble together a recruiting class.

Critical in what way? Do they think he should have an OSU recruiting class after 3 months on the job? Realistic bunch. Illinois has issues that go a lot deeper than their head football and basketball coaches.

Dip, you are the king of saying "look at who else offered" when looking at a recruiting class (I agree). With the exception of one of their TE commits, their current class holds nothing but a bunch of FCS and G5 offers. Junk. Nothing impressive about the class whatsoever.

So we only count our 14 three stars on 247, but Illinois 18 three stars don't count? 03-drunk

Alrighty......

Like you always say, it's more important to look at who else offered rather than number of stars a kid is rated.

Now you're changing the way you evaluate recruiting classes to fit the new narrative?

LOL, I am starting believe CD has an evil plan. Turn every thread here into a fight of sorts. The goal of this plan?

Seems to be the only topic that generates traffic here. Interestingly, it's always the same 4 or 5 who rarely post, who suddenly come out of the woodwork if Fleck is mentioned in a less than glowing light.

Actually you "came out of the woodwork" when a couple posts re: Cubit popped up. Get it straight.

I have no problem with the discussion/debate.

Get your own material. Law already tried that one.

It's just me Hoek. It's not as if 5 guys come out of the woodwork to have my back..............but then NEVER show their mugg just to talk Bronco sports.

Game threads should be huge traffic generators, yet when you look at the threads during the games it's GBL and Boston with a half dozen posts. The usual suspects who pop up to defend Fleck are never there.

I'm guessing it's just too hard to constantly change IDs and converse with ones self.

Should we count board members of the two msg boards? Is this a d!ck measuring contest? What does the winner get? Just like what does the winner of the fleck/cubit debate get?

Oh we have fewer members, but ten times the traffic. No pissing matches needed to drive traffic. Very knowledgable posters, all with easily identifiable IPs. Even you've asked to join. And we're ready to let you in for one small piece of information.

I can only speak for myself but I am attending most WMU home basketball games so I'm not wasting my time on a game thread. I'm watching the game.

As far as this "changing ID's" goes... I really do not understand the point. I suppose if you were trying to back up your own argument by creating ID's ... but again... whats the point if you just sit there posting with yourself. I mean... I suppose its easier to argue that someone is creating multiple ID's than to back up your own points with actual facts that extend beyond the "trust me, I know a guy"....

Oh well... been a proud owner of flushtheherd for well over a decade between the old school ESPN boards and this one supporting my Broncos...

As for recruiting rankings between the MAC and ANY Big10/11 school: Its not a fair fight from the get go. No-one ever said Cubit was a poor recruiter at WMU... but when did he ever post FOUR straight top classes in the MAC? Sure he gets to Illinois... where alike most Big10 schools... its easier to wade through the 3 starts in hopes of a few 4s... the MAC is like wading through the 2's trying to find the 3's... and god forbid they land a three that immediately gets docked a star for signing with a non P5. Not to mention the second a 1 or two star is committed to a P5 school they immediately gain a star or two... Come on... you've been watching this happen for years... It's never a fair fight in this arena between the P5's and the lesser than's...

Well Illinois is down to 17 "three-stars" now after one de-committed today.

I've said it for many years. I don't care where we get our recruits from as long as they do well in class and produce wins. If a bunch of 1- and 2-stars win us a MAC Championship, I'm fine with it.

Cubit? Who cares about his recruits? He didn't win us a championship. Moving on.

Fleck? The press is nice, but I expect a championship. If not soon, we'll be moving on again.
