Check out the timeline at the bottom of kendrick hairs old 247 page...link below. It appears that he was rated a 5 star at one point in the past, although that rating has faded. Could be a major talent at tackle, a key gap. Can clark and team close the deal?

We need a new color shirt. Goldshirting?

As I understand it, this year's goldshirts could still redshirt another year, that 2016 does not exist on their calendar.

The incoming freshmen will redshirt, those upper classmen sitting out are just considered to be sitting out as far as the NCAA is concerned and will not lose a year of eligibility or a redshirt year.

Clark has chosen to given the freshmen redshirts instead of allowing them to sit out and still have a redshirt season available..

This he considers to be goodwill towards the NCAA & their help with us restoring the program.

Works for me. If needful he can pull off a redshirt.

247 sports is now listing Kendrick Hair as a UAB commitment also. Thats two big, talented defensive tackles today. Thats huge for this team.

We are going to have a tremendously talented defense if we can add a safety or two for depth, and the sign some high school defensive linemen to.grow for two years..

I went into the weekend hoping for at least this... two DTs (top priority), another impact JUCO WR, a RB, and another safety.

If I understand the blazerman, they're giving up their goldshirt year in 2016 and calling it a redshirt. Which makes it far more dangerous if they beam down to a planet.

Let's hope not. We try and keep our kids away from the weed.

Probably is though.

No doubt it'd be the best recruiting class ever.

Clark pretty much has most of the best cards to play in the recruiting game. Things are on the eve of being built for the program, playing time is going to be in abundance, his job security is the best it could be in his profession, and what he has accomplished not only last year but throughout the entire fiasco said a lot of good things about his character. I never thought we'd be behind the ball or anything in recruiting, but I didn't expect him to be some sort of recruit whisperer.
