Tyndall / NCAA Meeting
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/sources--so...ncaab.html

Not too much meat there, but I did find it interesting that in just 10 comments beneath the article we have:

1 person confusing us with MS State
1 person confusing us with SMU
1 butthurt person posting a completely off-topic rant about racism

This country is toast.

Who is 'us'? Are you quitting USM again?

"Us" is USM. People constantly confuse USM with SMU (flattering, I guess) and MSU (the opposite of flattering ).

RE: Tyndall / NCAA Meeting
If they come down hard on USM and I was the President there I would sue the NCAA for selective enforcement. At some point one of us "non-power" schools has to put their hypocrisy on trial. The comments to that article, while lacking accuracy, do properly point out the issue. How long have we all joked about little school X paying the price for cheating at big school Y? I believe a good attorney could have a field day assembling a case based on the different standards applied in these cases.

Oh, and just for fun, it would be interesting to attack it from a RICO perspective by showing that the P5 conferences, the NCAA and possibly ESPN were in collusion and affected interstate commerce through their enforcement actions.

I'm not sure we should be the standard-bearer for that. What Tyndall did was pretty brazen. Most people won't sympathize with us.

What if the game was held on a neutral court say Michigan State, Mississippi State or even Morehead State?

Ahhhh

I heard Ellis Johnson was dyslexic. No, wait- he's autistic.

Nope, that's not it, either. He's retarded. That's it. Ellis Johnson is retarded.

It was a couple of years after Hallman, but one year when we wore those unis with black pants, Alabama's play-by-play guy said they looked like they should have a UPC code stamped on them somewhere.
