WKU President Gary Ransdell told the Daily News in October that he expects C-USA to take a "shorter-term perspective than a longer-term perspective" with full anticipation that the swings in the marketplace will continue.

He also said negotiations begin with current partners Fox and CBS, "but we're looking at a couple ... other possibilities that could be in addition to our primary partner contract."

I was hoping the Western Kentucky AD might give further hints on which national network will carry the September 1 game with Rice.

Personally I think all of the moves we are seeing is for either Fox or CBS, hopefully fs1. I think the hold up is whatever deal they are trying to work with ASN and Espn3. I may be wrong ASN is going to have to pay this time around. And I hope there are affordable options for local networks to buy games like against FCS schools or just something that didn't get picked up.

It wasn't nearly as bad this year as it was in year 1, growing pains of building a network from the ground up.

The Pac-12 doesn't market them separately, but many of their ESPN games are available separately on ESPN3 in Spanish.

For the umpteenth/gazillioneth time; get the darn TV Deal Done and make it Snappie by Crappie!!!! Oh! One other thing. CUSA needs Exposure more than Money. So, put us on Prime Time whenever possible!

I like ASN but I almost feel that we had it better when we were in the belt when it comes to distribution. We were on ESPN3 and I liked the Thursday night games. We almost need those week nights just to stand out more. Maybe we can move some games around once the deal is solidified.

The CUSA digital network has been a complete bust. It was good in 2013 but has went to crap since. You can't see your games which is what it was intended for. I owned a subscription for nearly 3 years and had to dump it after they didn't even show MT b-ball games half the time. I wonder if the digital gets worked in the initial TV deal or if it's an afterthought because after the last tv contract, it felt that way.

No way they get MAC money. At this point with the deal continuing to drag on and talks of a short-term deal and lots of down-playing, it would seem fortunate if CUSA gets $500,000 per team as what the original estimate was. That was probably in the January talks that fell through.

As long as we don't go 0-12 or have to return to the MAC, I'll be happy with whatever comes from the negotiations. Thanks for chiming in though and continuing to follow CUSA.

I will follow CUSA, it was very good to UCF. As was Marshall while we were both there. 8-0 for UCF vs marshal , and 0 for 8 vs UCF for marshall. Then again Marshall was 3-0 vs UCF in their mac Glory days.
