^^^^! Agree with the above big time ! This is where we really miss Douglas. We have one big man on the inside that can score and that's Stith. We just don't have the players or the team we looked to have last June.

This is great news just for the fact that Nik is healthy, again. Last weekend it was not sounding very positive. I was concerned that he had one of those concussions with lasting effects and he might not be back this season, when on Saturday (a week after the injury) he still wasn't even able to sit on the bench during the game. I was glad to hear Jeff Jones say he was symptom free and cleared for some practice. He seem surprised to get him back this soon. Welcome back Nik!

I'd also argue we miss Palmore. Thought it was a mistake to advise him out. He was a contributor, a glue teammate, and won best representative as a Monarch (or something like that). That is someone you keep around and with Mosley gone now, we lack backcourt depth as well now. Maybe could have even redshirted Caver. He is going to be a star, but would have been more so with an extra year.

I believe Palmore made the best choice for him. To ask a guy to sit on the bench and play scrap minutes as a senior is hard to do. It's easy to look back and say he should have stayed because of the people who have been dismissed, but had he stayed and Mosley hadn't been dismissed, do you think his minutes would have been abundant? He is doing well where he is and I continue to wish him success

I do. I think he'd be getting a chunk of Baker's minutes as well as Caver's. He was as effective as Baker defensively and more effective offensively. Mosley was a 3 point artist that didn't belong playing if his shots weren't falling, which we would know if it was happening after one rotation. I also think Palmore had an intangible leadership quality and work ethic and was zero risk of being suspended or dismissed for dumb schit.

I disagree that Palmore was more effective on offense. His outside shot was pretty bad but I'm too lazy to look up percentages.

Baker at least has a chance of making a three.

I think (coming into this season) Palmore's role would have been the same as last year. Very limited. I don't think he would have gotten minutes over Caver (just because Caver needs the minutes). I think he made the best decision for him.

I'm not a fan of floaters for those that can't hit them. But for those that can it's difficult to defend. I'm sure people said the same thing the first time they saw Kareem take a sky hook.

A floater never crossed my mind when I saw Kareem's sky hook or Bill Walton's hook shot.

The only benefit would to possibly redshirt Caver this year. But, Palmore really woudn't have helped team much unless Freeman got hurt. He saw the writing on the wall
