NFL teams do not use first round picks on backups. They just can't any longer. Dallas will not go qb with the #4 pick. ONLY chance they have at Paxton is if they make a trade.

With the 49ers hiring Kelly, not sure what he wants at QB.

I agree, but the Cowboys should consider the backup to Romo a 1a instead of a 2.

Romo is probably going to have surgery to implant a metal plate to strengthen his clavicle. You just don't do that unless you're desperate.

All that being said, they will probably sign a FA QB to be Romo's backup, draft a defensive guy at #4, and keep Kellen Moore as the #3.

EDIT: And then draft the next franchise QB after Romo retires and we go 1-15.
