RE: Kent State @ Ohio University
Ok, I see what you're saying. We're balanced in terms of guards scoring vs. post players scoring. I agree with that. We have plenty of guys that can step up with 15-20 point nights on any given night.
Unfortunately, the imbalance between inside and outside shot attempts and efficiency is allowing teams to pack it in against us. I'm certainly not saying we should take more threes because as I showed above, we're not an efficient outside shooting team. Basically, right now I think we're doing the best we can with a good but flawed roster.
Shot selection on the perimeter is where we can improve our outside efficiency. Ortiz, Hall, and Jones all want to be stretch 4's but unfortunately defenses don't respect them out there. At this point it seems clear that they're not going to change that nor are they going to hit at a high clip so they need to stop shooting from outside. Also, with Walker and Pollard out Cancer needs to start shooting it with confidence. He's shot looks good he just needs to embrace the role of a three and D guy and not hesitate when he's open.

Just threw the team stats in a spreadsheet and calculated it.

Ok. Thanks. I was hoping there was a website that did the work for you.

Went to game Friday night, good atmosphere as always at OU. They get lots of locals and the student section was full and active. 6700 reported attendance which is their avg.

It's been a little down after a very disappointing year last season and a mediocre start to this year's MAC campaign. The 9 p.m. start probably didn't help with total numbers but the people who were there were as energetic as any crowd this year. Kent State has a good program and we tend to get up for the best teams in the conference.
