Talley
If Talley works hard, I believe he can be really really really good. Looks like a mid range jumper is starting to come together. His first step and drive to the hoop is pretty good already. I'm excited to see what he'll look like at the beginning of next season

I like his touch and jumper. He get a nice rotation and touch on them. I think he has a high ceiling for sure.

RE: Talley
when we did TV games in OOC no one: producers, announcers, directors knew anything about Talley...now in meetings, he is the second player talked about when discussing ODU

That is a pretty lofty hope. Talley does have a lot of talent, and a ton of upside, but to say he can work his way to being Bazemore good, is probably unrealistic. Bazemore has something more than just work ethic. Lots of guys work their asses off, but not many make the gargantuan strides in such short periods of time that Bazemore does. I think Baze has a gift that allows him to make massive changes in a short time, and that, coupled with his incredible work ethic, makes him special.

^ agree. Bazemore has a special level of athleticism you don't come across all the time. I remember watching him even in his redshirt year. You could tell just watching him walk he was something special. It's hard to describe, but you know it when you see it. I feel very fortunate to have been able to watch this raw kid become a polished pro, and apparently he hasn't finished developing!!

Talley is certainly having a great game tonight. I don't know if Talley will end up better than Baze, but in my opinion Talley plays much more in control than Baze did his Freshman year. I am looking forward to watching him for three more years.

RE: Talley
They should write more articles! Talley 8-12 shooting, 8 rebounds, 3 assists. His best game yet as a Monarch.

Not sure how things will pan out, but...

Freshman Talley > Freshman Bazemore
Sophomore Stith > Sophomore Hassell

Let's hope both continue to grow.

I wouldnt say Stith is better than Hassell as a soph. I like Stith, but hes really just a rebounder at theis point. He needs to work on finishing around the rim and hitting some freebies.

Love to see Talley coming on.

Yep. Hassell also had Gerald Lee and others surrounding him so he didn't get as many chances.

I am beginning to believe that the Monarch Nation will indeed be sad when Talley graduates.

Statistics are for people that want to manipulate the facts. Seriously there are so many factors that make those stats insignificant it is hilarious that a comparison would be made.

Let's compare QB passing stats today with QB passing stats from 39 years ago. Seriously.

I say if Talley comes close to developing like Baze and Stith gets close to Frank's status, we are in pretty good shape indeed and I won't worry about needing to compare who is better!

As a sophomore, Frank looked like a waste of a scholarship until something clicked during the CIT.

The comparisons to Baze make me laugh (not in a bad way) because when I saw him wearing 24 in the first game I said in my head that he has a lot to live up to in that jersey. I'm glad that at least one of the three amigos learned from their suspensions and is actually doing something for the team, and doing really well as the season progresses
