"Good game Tigers. Why does everyone keep talking about Pastner? Like Memphis is used to winning championships? They lost to ECU or whoever it was...it happens. Penny's team lost to Jackson State in Memphis, remember that? Great coaches are always in a constant state of learning. We didn't pack the Pyramid every game (and we didn't lose for 2 years). Being a true fan is like a marriage, you just can't pack up and leave when things aren't going well. Oh, he hasn't produced any pros. Do you really think Cal is the reason Rose, Davis and Cousins are in the NBA? If you do, please don't comment because you really don't know basketball. What coach besides, Izzo is developing players. Most players are trying to leave college as soon as they can so when are they being developed?"
Thanks, Michael Wilson
By the way ECU just beat Temple
He also says Penny shouldn't want the job. Could go from most loved to hated. Yep.

I think I agree with him mostly. I would never feel the same about the Tigers if they fired Penny at the hot dog stand.

Just what I thought. None of the wannabee coaches care to respond to Michael Wilson. The two of did talked about Penny.

I respect his opinion.
But to begin with, he's wrong - a Penny team never lost to Jackson State - that was the year after Penny.

So Michael Wilson, someone who has never coached or played in the NBA or talked to Penny recently is more knowledgeable about things because WHY?
Because from what I can tell his viewpoint is the same as ours, from behind a TV screen. And Wilsons statement about Izzo being the only coach who develops players is just ignorant.

Was that the year Lindsey Hunter played for JSU?

Bring him on. At least he hs some college coaching experience, which is better than some of our other coaches.

It’s like spring in Paris…you must be there to understand it.
If Michael Wilson was here and treated like Tarik, Joe, Nick King, Spoon, Iverson, Pookie, and now Burrell, I’m quite sure he would be singing a different tune.

I'll respond to him. He needs to check his facts and stfu. Penny never lost to Jackson St. That happened after he left. So a former player of Finch cares more about Josh than his own coach. No wonder we lost to Drexel. Now put that in your damn Canadian pipe and smoke it

Where do you deduce that he cares less about his own coach? He refers to "great coaches" after talking about the JSU loss.
He has some valid comments. I don't agree with him on all of them - and he did get the JSU thing wrong. But there is a good point there about how some react when adversity hits.
And, stfu? Not hardly. Dude has as much of a right to talk as you or any of us on here.

Probably not as relevant since none of them played here.
Interesting that you choose to mock a former player who played for the Harlem Globetrotters. Says a lot.
