Big East officials are looking at potential replacements. Tranghese said they are close to announcing which bowls will replace the Insight in the Big East's postseason schedule.

"We're talking to a lot of (bowl officials)," Tranghese said. "You name it, we've talked to them. We're pretty confident that we'll create five (bowl) opportunities for our eight members, plus Notre Dame."

If the Big 12 keeps Independence Bowl the Big East #3 ( WVU,SU, RU) + ND makes alot of sense for Big 12-Big east

Music City has a spot open too Big East #4 (Uconn,SU,USF)

I guess the Big East will be going to Nashville.

WVU,USF,UL will all travel in large # to Nashville to play the "SEC"

Big East - SEC should have the Music city bowl payment increased then

So what this saying is #1 goes BCS. Notre Dame, or # 2 goes Gator, or Sun,
and #2,#3, or Notre Dame, goes to the Music City.

USF fans don't travel in large numbers to see the Bulls play in Tampa, what makes you think they will show up in Nashville?

And who said USF would ever make it to the top 5 of the Big East anyway? They will be behind Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Louisville, Syracuse, Connecticut and Rutgers

USF? Who are you, anyway?
I take that back. Who is your favorite team?
