It's not trolling when the info being put out there is the truth. Virtually everyone on this forum is woefully behind when it comes to expansion news and the latest thoughts about expansion theories.

Tech's stock has dropped with the ascent of Baylor & TCU.

Utah & Colorado are solid no expansion. It's just not in their best interest.

The PAC for years was too small and this allowed the WAC/MWC to get too good. Going to 12 has changed the dynamic out west with a huge gap now between the two conferences.

Baylor and TCU are religious affiliated schools. That's a non-starter for PAC consideration. Also, the PAC needs and desires to get into the CST zone for improved viewership. Plus expanding the footprint doesn't hurt either. Finally, no one cares about what Utah and Colorado thinks. Those 2 schools will not be allowed to hold the PAC back for selfish reasons.

BigXII will be dissolved by July at the latest, unless the remaining 6 try like mad to poach from the AAC. Realistically speaking though, ESPN does a major renegotiation if the BigXII loses those 4 schools. My sources say that if the rest of the 6 commit to sticking together, then the new BigXII COULD look like:

Baylor
ISU
WVU
KU
KSU
TCU
USF
UCF
Temple
UCONN

It's well documented, and common knowledge, that TCU and Baylor would block UH and SMU from joining.

You're welcome.

You're going to see Kansas and Iowa State out of there in a flash, too. And they will be wanted, by someone, because they bring major qualities others can't. Even if the B1G or PAC don't work with them (and I have a tough time seeing the PAC gobble both Tech and oSu without Kansas or ISU being brokered in somehow), the SEC or, more likely, ACC will.

In fact, when there are majors on the table, at this point, start sniffing around the ACC. Acquisitions like that help obliterate the terrible media deal they have which is generating a lot of rumors itself.

I personally can't see the B12 taking in any school without a decent stadium. So that leaves out Temple and USF, if Temples out that means UCONN is out ( If WV is an island, UCONN is another galaxy).

They forgot the Hampton Pirate and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' mascot. They also could have gotten the UNO privateer but that's getting obscure.

The first 4 MIGHT go to the PAC, and kU MIGHT go to the B1G....

But Iowa State will NEVER be in the B1G. Period.

Tech's stock has dropped with the ascent of Baylor & TCU.

Utah & Colorado are solid no expansion. It's just not in their best interest.

Plus expanding the footprint doesn't hurt either. Finally, no one cares about what Utah and Colorado thinks. Those 2 schools will not be allowed to hold the PAC back for selfish reasons.

Quote:Fallout from the Orangebloods.com report that the Pac-10 is planning to extend invitations to Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Colorado has been immediate.

Already, the political forces in Texas are preparing to make demands that if six schools from the Big 12 are going to be invited to the Pac-10, Baylor should replace Colorado on that list, according to two sources close to the situation.

"If you're going to have an exported commodity involved in this, do you think we're going to allow a school from outside the state of Texas to replace one of our schools in the Big 12 South? I don't think so. We're already at work on this," said a high-ranking member of the Texas Legislature who asked not to be identified.

The source said there is a block of 15 legislators who will work to make sure Baylor - not Colorado - is invited to the Pac-10.

"If the Pac-10 wants Texas, and we know they do, they may have to take all of our Texas schools," the source said, adding that Texas Tech has also benefited from political inclusion on the invite list.

Miko all the PAC cares about is taking Texas.

They'd have no problem taking Baylor if politics dictated and I'd throw TCU into that list who is a former conference mate of Utah.

I don't think Utah, Colorado and Arizona want to be dominated on the football field by OU/OSU. They might be more interested in Baylor/TCU while strong are second tier football programs.

RE: Latest Rumor from an ironclad source
In 8 years when the B12 GOR is close to expiring and right before the CFP contracts finish its time to make some moves.

B1G (Kansas, Oklahoma)-Strengthen the West
PAC (Texas, Baylor, TCU, Texas Tech)-Control Texas
B12 (Houston, SMU, Tulane, Memphis, Cincinnati, BYU)-Retain power status
AAC (Army, UMass, ODU)-East Coast stay strong
MWC (UTEP, Rice)-Break into Texas & send Boise pacific
MAC (Marshall, Charlotte)-Regain Marshall & send BGSU west
CUSA (New Mexico State)-Get the membership back to 10

One more major realignment that gets everyone to where they want to be.

With the B1G & PAC at 16 there is no more practical room in the Inn for more programs.

Those six replacements probably aren't enough to allow the Big 12 to retain power status, but they'd certainly be a tweener conference.

While I'd obviously be happy with ODU being in a conference with ECU, UConn, Temple and the U_Fs, that seems like an odd trio for the AAC to add. I guess if they were really into the idea of being an East Coast conference, but even then ...

If the MAC took Western Kentucky and Middle Tennessee with Marshall and Charlotte, they'd probably force the remnants of CUSA to merge with the Sun Belt. If not, I'd think New Mexico State would be passed over for Texas State, Arkansas State or Louisiana-Lafayette.
