TV Contract at the top of the agenda...
The American Sports Network televised more than 100 C-USA events in the last two years, but paid the conference no rights fees. Fox and CBS Sports paid an estimated $14 million per year to the league. ASN has plans to eventually become a 24-hour sports network.

League officials have been working on adding corporate sponsors to help enhance the conference's bottom line.

Probably have to get the TV contact details all worked out and agreed upon first.

I noticed they got the name of the channel changed on the guide to ASNET on the American Sports Network 24/7 channel now on Suddenlink. Hopefully they can get it in HD soon.

What I am watching right now (Tennessee Tech-Tennessee State football) is in 16:9. Not HD but another positive step.

ASN's parent company, Sinclair Broadcasting, is buying the Tennis Channel.

It's ridiculous, but then, it's also more choices/options for fans, which in the long run is a good thing.

I think that ASN can really grow. As people continue to cut the cord, they will look for the free alternatives. Getting a 24x7 channel will be huge for them. A set channel that people can get used to finding will work imo.

CBS, ESPN, NBC , etal want nothing to do with the current Coda lineup. Our best bet is for each school in the league to pay the American Sports Network at least $500,000 each therefore assuring their financial ability to produce at least one or two games per week. Thats better than nothing.

This reminds me of when the Speed Channel was taken over which is now FS1.

That's the most ridiculous thing I've read on here in a while. And that's saying something.
