It won't be 3,500 strong on Thursday. We are in quite a rough spot right now.

We broke 6000 for the first time this year last week. Tough to get butts in seats these days.

Interesting fact...

WKU was UAB's first NCAA tournament win in the program's history. The game was played at Coleman Coliseum at the University of Alabama of all places.

Attendance is bad at WKU, great team or not (look at our football attendance).
I remember the Mars Bar game. I was a young kid watching from the old wooden bleachers. 12,000+ strong back then each game.

I remember that game well and it was a rockin' atmosphere. It was so loud you couldn't hear the PA announcer asking the fans to refrain from throwing those candy bars after Clarence Martin - I think - fouled out. I loved playing the Gene Bartow era UAB teams as they were always good. Whatever happened to Jerome Mincy and Steve Mitchell? They were great players.

OUr once proud program has now turned into a soap opera "as The world Turns"...constant deflections, transfers, no identity, a different starting lineup every game, that is what WKU basketball has become...Embarrassing to say the least..

Mitchell is UAB's arena director and color analyst on most of our men's basketball broadcasts.

Last I heard, Mincy was an assistant coach on a professional team in Puerto Rico.

He is. Helps with the national team as well.

Bartow coached the PR national team in 1972 too.

I use to hate...well dislike, Bartow, when I was younger, I really can't say I hate anyone. But as the years passed I respected the hell out of him as a coach and person.

As unlikely as it seems...UAB starts a losing streak tonight

No problem, only say it because its true....

I am not expecting losing our best shooter is all of the sudden going to turn around the season, but Vegas must know something I don't with us only being a 4 point underdog tonight...Would be shocked if that was final score, but that's why they play the game...

My point is your post has absolutely nothing to do with the topic. We all know your views on the program.

Now that was fun ending the nation's longest winning streak! Proves we are a lot better team then the way we have been playing...Probably will still struggle on the road, but at home we have a chance...

518- Docks has been telling people before the season started he wanted to promote himself to try and get in some big school as a 5th year transfer. He really wanted ul (crazy I know). The players wanted him gone because he only played for himself.
