I fully understand that the bottom teams are what killed us. Top 150 games can give you a great rpi if you win almost all of them. I was merely pointing out on paper we probably expected those to all be to 100 teams. In reality, not so much. That is bound to happen. We need to keep the crap off the schedule for the most part though.

There's no way to predict these things. WKU, ODU, and SFA should have been a bigger RPI boost than they have become. In a different season, Illinois and Va Tech could be big RPI boosting games as well. Unfortunately for us virtually every team in conference or out of conference that could have been a nice boost to our RPI has turned out not having a great season.

Hopefully next year's schedule will prove more challenging but we can't control how our opponents do. Now on the other hand, certainly some of our opponents were clearly going to be a drag to the RPI and I'm hopeful we can avoid as many of those as possible in the future. Ideally I would like to see us schedule games against more A10, AAC, Big East, and MWC teams.
