Cuse FB Recruiting
9 for 9 this weekend...

The 9th guy is in debate but it looks like he wants an announcement with family.

Should elevate Cuse into the mid 40s...only a few 2 star kids.

If Babers can elevate the W/L record next year...the Cuse might make a jump into the Top 25-30 especially if the stadium announcement becomes official.

Congrats Cuse. Cards recruiting has slipped a bit over the last few weeks with decommitments, not surprising. Still in the running for a couple more 4* though.

There are plans and discussions for a newly renovated $500 million Dome with NYS chipping in $200 million. Last I heard was that the new Dome shell would encompass the current dome with renovations taking place from within. That's the best way of me explaining it. I hope that helps.

Wow...what are the odds of that happening? Any pictures of what it will look like?

Its pretty certain that SU is getting a new Dome. How extravagant it will be is another story. The new Dome is rumored to have a a retractable roof too. It is well known in these parts that Governor Cuomo offered SU $200 million but a dispute between the Syracuse Mayor and Onondaga county executive led to it being rescinded. Its pretty unusual for a state to give a private school that kind of money, but SU is the closest thing to a state flagship that you can get in NYS.

Let's get classes in the 40s consistently b4 projecting Top 25 or Top 30 classes. 03-wink

LGO!!!

I was actually very skeptical at first, but his recruiting has been great so far - especially given the circumstances. I've been very impressed.

Funny how well he is done under these circumstances when the last guy under similar circumstances made excuses.

I am all in on Babers. Dude is going to get it done.

You're way too hard on SS. His defenses were usually pretty good, and the offense was starting to show life. He was put in a tough place when he had to initially hire staff. After that, we went bowling, so it would have been difficult to make massive changes until towards the end of the second year. I'm not convinced that he made *enough* changes, but he did make changes and we were trending upwards on offense when he was canned half a year (to a year) later. Had our offense continued to improve along with our talent level, we would have been pretty good once the defense bounced back.

Maybe so, but his nose can take it.

Well played Orange Mark of the South Carolina Hokie variety.

Cuse had horrific injuries the last two seasons...but HM Shafer was never going to win us more than 7-8 games if everything clicked. His staff was limited and his game day coaching decisions at times bordered on insane. Babers ceiling is much higher and has won at both HC gigs.
