Wright State coach Billy Donlon
Anyone noticed in the Horizon conference that WSU plays in is quietly 6-1 in their conference having beaten Wisconsin of Milwaukee, U of Detroit and this past Friday Valparaiso. Thats not luck, Coach Donlon may not get the best talent in either the MAC or in the Horizon, what he does do is preach defense, defense and more defense. If you don't play the D or play team ball, you sit or you might as well transfer out with good blessings.

I like coach K and I am not suggesting UT gets rid of him. But from a philosophical point of view, I would like Coach K get kids who will D and sacrifice the offense.

someone on this site talk about the Redhawks of Miami. Although I pulled for UT, its a shame how bad Redhawk football and basketball has sunk so far. If the present Miami basketball coach doesn't turn it around by next season (I think he has 1 more year on his contract) he will be gone. BTW, they don't draw for football anymore and haven't for a long time in basketball.

Hockey has taken over as the "go to" sport in Oxford, Ohio in the winter.

Of course on the Wright St board there is a lot of talk about firing Donlan. 11-20 last year. Never finished higher than 3rd in the Horizon.

Averaging 2,300 per game this season, in an arena that seats 3,600.

Injuries were really bad for the Raiders last year as they had 6 starters out at the same time with various injuries (he gets a pass for the 11-20 record). 3rd best in the Horizon conference, while that maybe true, nonetheless his teams do play great d but his recruiting efforts could be better.
