MyBB Predictions through 6 games...
I have no clue if these numbers are even possible. Just a guess based on what I've seen. People will have way different predictions I am sure!!

Seed: Team: Current Record: Prediction: Explanation:
1. Kent State (5-1) (15-3) --- Hot team
2. NIU (5-1) (15-3) --- Good defensive team
3. CMU (3-3) (12-6) --- With Fowler, I have to believe they will get hot. Good shooting leads to W's...and that's all CMU does is heave it from deep.
4. Akron (4-2) (12-6) --- They're an offensive minded team in a slightly weaker division.
-----------------------------------
5. BSU (4-2) (11-7) --- I'm not sure why they're good, but they are having a nice season.
6. BGSU (3-3) (11-7) --- will win some grind it out games in the East
7. EMU (2-4) (10-8) --- EMU is athletic as heck and will be competitive with everyone.
8. Toledo (3-3) (9-9) --- With Boothe goes the Rockets. He's going to be POY. Not enough defense to beat EMU, or CMU IMO.
9.WMU (2-4) (8-10) --- They looked great this weekend! Can WMU get hot?
10. UB (3-3) (7-11) --- Not feeling the bulls this year.
11. OU (2-4) (5-13) --- Not a ton going on in Athens... the women though!!
12. Miami (0-6) (2-16) --- They can win more than 2, but going 0-6 is a rough start.

RE: Predictions through 6 games...
IMO, the west has 6 of the top 8 teams. BG will finish around 3rd in the East and they're not better than anyone in the West really... Having said that, playing every team in their own division twice will lead to more W's... hence the seeding.

RE: Predictions through 6 games...
Wow the spread you have these final records is extreme. I have been saying this all along, no team in the MAC including Kent State and Akron are going to escape conference play with anything less than 7 losses. This is a meat grinder and this conference will cannibalize itself until the very end. 11-7 will be good enough for a top 4 seed. You are probably going to have 4 11-7 teams or 3 11-7 teams and 1 10-8 as your top 4 seeds.

Predictions seems reasonable otherwise in terms of seeding, my only changes would be BGSU is too optimistic, Ball State will crash back to earth, and Ohio is going to stabilize somewhat and be a little higher. And I know this may sound crazy, but I still see EMU as top 4 seed material, too much talent on that team for them to be down long. My top 4 seeds would be Kent/NIU/CMU/EMU

It's still early so don't sleep on Akron. I'm a Kent homer but think the Zips have the best roster and best head coach in the league. Dambrot often allows his team to struggle early on so that the players understand that they need to "do it his way."

I wouldn't want the coach that is responsible for the way this Akron team plays defense.

They make threes. That's about it. They look poorly coached to me.

I think Dambrot looks tired and his heart isn't in it.

Lots of sniping among teammates and at Dambrot at The UT game. Didn't look like a cohesive group.

So far UB has played just *two* conference home games. Their problem is they are incredibly unpredictable. They took Akron to the verge, destroyed Kent, and humiliated CMU.

Last year at this point the Bulls were 3-3 and nobody was feeling them. Then mid season they got consistent and dangerous. If Oats can get the guys to buckle down and play well at home this team has a winning conference record at the seasons end.

Destroyed Kent? A 9 pt win that was a 4 pt game with 1:30 left. It was a great win for the Bulls, but the adjective needs work. What would you use for the WMU game if you used up "destroyed" on a single digit hard fought win?

He wouldn't because he's a tool.

Here is what I would project

1. Kent State 12-6 (ok one team breaking my no more than 11 win rule)
2. NIU 11-7
3. CMU 11-7
4. EMU 10-8
-----------------------------------
5. Toledo 10-8
6. Akron 9-9
7. Ball State 8-10
8. WMU 8-10
9. Ohio 8-10
10. Buffalo 8-10
11. BGSU 7-11
12. Miami 6-12

Thats a fine prediction, but i dont see Miami going 6-6 in the last 12... Nor do I see NIU going 6-6 from here on out... Thats too much parity.

the WMU that beat UB by 20pts looked great, but what about the WMU that lost to Ohio by 18?

I think in the end teams are going to be closer together rather than farther apart.

Nobody in this league is safe, except maybe for the team playing Miami.. Sorry RedHawk fans... Other than that, what separates one and 11 is very small

NIU has 6 of its next 9 on the road, which NIU could easily go 3-6 in with how hard it is to win on the road in this conference.

You're right, I retract destroyed Kent. I would say WMU annihilated us... Like I said UB is as good as anyone in the MAC but we are inconsistent.

This prediction has Ohio going 3-9 and they still have two games against Miami to play and 6 games at home where they are 9-1 on the season?

Bobcats are young and inconsistent, but they are also talented. They're still a year away from playing a for a title but I think 5-13 is too low.

And I think NIU and Kent St are good but I don't see anybody finishing 15-3 this year.

15-3?? Nobody finished better than 12-6 last year and the league is way more balanced this season. The number one seed will be no better than 12-6

Okay well that would also suggest every team should be 4-2 or worse going on averages. NIU looks pretty good and so does Kent. If they repeat these few first weeks thats where both teams would stand and I could see it. Its just a prediction. Time will tell.

RE: Predictions through 6 games...
05-bump wow... Look what 6 games can do!!
As far as records goes throw mine from three weeks ago out the window. NIU fell back to earth. OU and UB took off then UB lost a key player and fell back again.

With 6 games left I will re predict the seeds, records asside. The logjam at 7-5 makes this super tough. Akron will be 13-5 and Miami will be 4-14.
Akron
OU
BSU
CMU

UT
KENT
UB
EMU
NIU
WMU
BG
MIAMI
