We haven't really competed with them on their recruits or ours this time.

Put your Blazer loyalty aside and take off the Green shades. If you were Zac would you come back. I would love to have him back, but I don't see it. But, stranger things have happened.

If his plan was to tie his career progression to Monken, that's pretty much gone...unless he joins him in Tampa...

Depends on what USM does. If they promote the OC or DC, then maybe little change over next year.

I don't think they actually have an OC. The old QB coach may have been promoted(I can't recall), but Monken was essentially the OC anyway. I was really surprised when Chip Lindsey moved on to Arizona(State?). Might he return as HC?

The old OC apparently did move to Arizona State.

Looks like they plan on going outside to make the hire instead of promotion though.

The previous OC under Fedora is the head coach at Arkansas State.

I am a buc fan so this could be win win for me if Zac heads to Tampa Bay

Any coach coming in will have to retain the current staff(those that don't leave on their own). Changes will be made after the 2016 season. Knowing this, many coaches will look for a more stable situation rather than spend the 2016 season coaching for their jobs, preferably with a team with a new coach that has a new contract.

Just speculating, but I'd be surprised if Zac ended up with the Bucs. How many new NFL assistants bring any of their college staff with them.

Unless they hire from within, I figure that entire staff are free agents.

I thought Zac was USM'S S&C coach? If so, didn't UAB just hire a S&C coach from JSU?

Yeah, but he was a position coach at JSU. Besides, asst coaches are reassigned all the time.

Yes (at least for the moment) and yes.

I don't see any reason that the staff could not be shuffled. or that Zac could not coach another slot on defense.

This is just a hope anyhow.
