Dodgers fans hate that the Angels use the dumb "Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim" name, that's why they have these shirts:

It's not a dumb name, the Angels use the name for legal purposes, as the City of Anaheim sued them trying to get them to refer to themselves as "Anaheim" again while the team wanted to market itself as Los Angeles and found a unique way to do so. They figured after some initial bad publicity that people wouldn't use the Anaheim part just like people use the city or town name for a typical state flagship and they were correct.

Speaking of names, I'm having a hard time finding this place called Carolina. Can someone help me find it on a map [waits for someone to post a wiki link of some random town named Carolina].

Also, where's New England?

It's a funny shirt, but it's not really an indication of Dodgers fans feelings, most of whom (myself included) just laugh at Arte's name change. And it is a dumb name - whether or not it served the intended purpose. It's already silly on its face but think about it from a Spanish language point of view: The The Angels Angels of Anaheim. That said, the fans who really dislike the name change are in Orange County. I don't know if it's enough irritation to significantly harm team revenue, but I also don't know if "Los Angeles" is gaining the marketing advantage they'd hoped.

I always liked California Angels myself

That was the best name and would have helped avoid the legal trouble and confusion.
