I agree. I think an energized, 6k(+) crowd will be a nice showing.

It's not likely but I would be beyond impressed if it happens. We are doing all the right things to get people is seats.

You don't think we will have 6k tonight? We had over 5k for rice.

Is this counting the student section upper seats or not?

Good stuff! Thanks for the update, blazerjay. Will be interesting to monitor as we get closer to game time.

RE: Still LOTS of tickets available.
Recently, I started going down to my mom's house to watch televised games with her, since then she's a become a fan of Blazer Basketball. I haven't made it to as many games as I would have liked, but I did my part and purchased three tickets for my wife, mother and myself.

BTW, 6,000-6500 in attendance would be a huge win playing a 7-win North Texas team.

8,500 - 2,655 = 5,845

We still have a ways to go, but it is encouraging.

That's assuming 1600 students show up, and all the frozen 100 seats are filled. For the last game my row of 16 seats in section 105, all season tickets, had 4 people in it.

RE: Still LOTS of tickets available.
They just sent out this message:
Just a friendly reminder that Will Call is open NOW for you to pick up your tickets for tonight’s North Texas game at Bartow Arena. We have the largest will call of the year and we would encourage you to pick up your tickets early to avoid long lines at pick up. Again, we are open now thought half-time so please take advantage and pick up your tickets early. If you have already picked up your tickets for tonight, thank you and please disregard this message.

Thanks and Go Blazers!

Not to get technical but I thought the student section only accounted for 1072 (full capacity). That's where I thought they got the whole #Operation1072 thing from.

There will be a big walk up crowd tonight. I think we will see the best turnout of the season.

We all know there will be less people in the actual crowd than what is announced. I think what we are all discussing is what the announced crowd will be.

1072 is the number reserved for students. If students show up and there are unsold seats they won't turn anyone away. This is how we got to 1500 students thursday.

here's a 1st: we're now dissing the announced attendance of a game before the game is even played!

It looks like they have blocked out 1,553 seats for students for the rest of the season (not available for sale online)
