Go Lime Green? An MSU Tragedy



Seriously though, what is this crap?

"There will be no need to adjust your television set. Michigan State's color scheme will be a bit different tomorrow night.

Michigan State will wear lime green alternate uniforms for its Saturday game against No. 7 Maryland, the program announced on Friday.

The uniforms, part of the Nike Hyper Elite Disruption collection, feature lime green uniforms, shorts, socks and shoes. The color has been dubbed "Mean Green.""

Mean Green you say? Like North Texas Mean Green? Really ******* creative.

Is this what people my age are into? Whats next? Plaid? Any ugly alternates you guys would like to share of your team?

As a fan of a team who has MANY alternate uni's and has heard plenty of criticism about them, just go with it. Maryland has some uniforms that will kill your eyes but it has some AWESOME ones as well. These certainly deserve the criticism but hope that the next one will be better. Also, try and find the silver lining. The shorts aren't to bad. They seem like they are toned down with the black coloring. I wonder how different the jersey would look with black lettering instead of white?

As much as everyone has hated the redesign of Maryland football and basketball uniforms, I've loved them from the start, loved the idea of getting the State Flag involved in it all.

If it's any consolation, Dexter, at least you don't have to wear Michigan blue. Nike made Syracuse wear Georgetown grey. Evidently the intern that designed the uniforms didn't watch college basketball - at least not on the east coast.

Also, as terrible as those uniforms are, Adidas is getting better. These gems are from a couple of years ago:

To be honest, I kind of like the Michigan State uniforms. I think it is unorthodox but in a good way.

Or wear that piss yellow "Highlighter" jerseys Michigan has. Seriously though, can't Adidas and Nike come up with anything better? Or a better shade of green?

Dexter, the eye gouging uni's worked for you. The Terps were unable to combat them. Congrats on the win.
