Edit: I do think it's almost a guarantee he leaves in roughly two years with how poor our attendance is. (Assuming the next two years go well)

So you think that anyone looking for a coach will only look at the record and not the complete situation.
Nah, but a 59% overall win ratio isn't great regardless of the situation, especially in a very bad CUSA with the worst SOS in school history. I wouldn't be surprised if some people came calling though due to the steady progress he has made over the past year and a half, especially if he finishes this year strong.

Our attendance is disappointing I agree, but as has been said numerous times, things aren't going to change over night despite the quality of our team. UAB had basically three poor seasons in a row before last March. Couple that with a relatively poor OOC home schedule and the quality of league competition decreasing, it isn't shocking that attendance has declined. I was hoping for better this year but we didn't do ourselves any favors by losing our 3 most high profile games. Not an excuse, just the truth. If we keep winning our attendance will continue to improve. We won't pack in 10k for a game against Western Kentucky ever again most likely but I do believe the attendance that we have tonight can become the norm. Winning and good marketin are what we need, and that's what we've had this week. We will see the results of that effort tonight.

We actually had 4 poor seasons in a row before last March due to Mike Davis' last year.
2011-12: 15-16
2012-13: 16-17
2013-14: 18-13
2014-15: 20-16
2015-16: 16-3
85-65 (56.6%) is our current record in the past 5 years. It's not stellar by really any metric.
And here's our conference finishes:
2011-12: 9-7 (T-5th)
2012-13: 7-9 (T-7th)
2013-14: 7-9 (T-8th)
2014-15: 12-6 (T-4th)
2015-16: 6-0 (1st)
Overall: 41-31 (57%)

Thats right. Werent we 16-15 going into the CUSA tournament last year? We came around in conference play but if we hadn't won the tournament last year would have been another poor season by our standards.

Yes. We were very close to not having a winning record again last year.
