RE: C-USA MBB next year
I seriously doubt it but the rumor is that Floyd is out this year regardless of what happens. He's still a good coach, he just isn't getting the right guys together.

Our front court will be a lot better. Our back court will be a lot worse.

Sounds like the conference has the potential to be much better. I know if WKU returns who they should, it could be a great year. We have all the pieces in place, other than shotters. We need shooters bad.
You've got Harrison-Docks for another year.
He's the least athletic-looking player in the conference, but don't tell me he can't shoot. My lying eyes know better.
He's it. I hope he's back. And yes, he looks like he should be playing in the Bowling Green Adult Church League. It's his 4th year. He could conceivably graduate, split, and go play somewhere else immediately. I certainly hope he stays. He had a 2 or 3 game suspension earlier this year. No one knows exactly what happened.
We need someone else who can stand behind the line and knock down shots.

I don't think rumors coming from dissatisfied fans count Fit. I still have Stull's remark ringing in my ears saying that Floyd not making the ncaa tourney is not a reason to fire him.

I agree that ODU's front court should be significantly better (and deeper) next season. I don't think that anyone really knows at this point that our back court will be a lot worse next season. We all know that Freeman and Baycote will be missed, especially Freeman. Baycote has shown that he is likely to have as many below average games as he is to have well above average games.
Caver (SO) and Baker (SR) return next season and should be at least slightly improved over this year. The improved front court should also take some of the pressure off of them.
The new back court players coming in are not all untested 18 year old freshmen so that too will help with replacing Freeman and Baycote. ODU's back court is going to be bigger, deeper, and more physical than this season's is and may surprise some people.

I don't think Floyd is out either. He's what the boosters want. Because he is supposedly doing it " the right way". Whatever that means.

UTEP's better than what they've been getting the past 6 years. Time to get a new coach. Two early exits from the NIT out of a 6 year stint isn't anything to call home about.

Charlotte desperately needs to find big men (1 or 2) in the late period. Replacing Uchebo is going to be tough.

Hamilton will be a big loss. But I like the guys we have coming back. And I like our recruiting class. I've seen Tech ranked #2 for Schools with Texas recruits for our 3 guys out of the Dallas area. And the PG we have coming from Baltimore picked Tech over Georgetown. The big question is going to be Joniah White (7'0"). He's out for the year. If he's able to come back next year we should be good. If not I think we'll be playing with a 6'8" center again.
