Kicking the crud out of 'em on the offensive glass and holding Bowling Green to 27% from deep...Nice win fellas! Making sure you pack your defense makes road trips much easier.

Sendy got good players. They play hard, rebound hard and defend hard. Imagine what this team will do if someone emerges as an offensive threat.

5-1 and tied for first in the MAC.

Love the way Spicer has played the last two games. For us to realize our potential he needs to cause havoc defensively and be pulling down 8+ rebounds every night. Offensively he's quietly having a very efficient season as well. He's currently shooting a career high 60% from the floor and a career high (albeit not great) 60% from the line. He's no longer a guy where you cringe when he gets the ball inside and worry about a missed dunk. I wouldn't mind seeing us draw up more plays to get him isolated on the block. If Hall is floating around you can bet they will never double down on him. He looks very comfortable making post moves and has developed a very nice jump hook.

It would probably take a couple more 5+ block games to have a shot at John Edwards' all time blocks record but if he plays like he did the last two games he could finish within shouting distance.

2005-06 season. KSU won its first 5 MAC road games (CMU, EMU, NIU, Miami, OU). Only two road losses in conference (Toledo and Akron). Had that crazy double OT win at Buffalo, followed by the OT win in the Bracketbuster game against Butler. Also won the MAC tourney that season.

There were many times that season when the opposing coach left the gym saying..."too much DeAndre Haynes."

Agreed! I think we go as Spicer goes. Everything else on the team is pretty much a given. When Kaliq is blocking shots and crashing the boards KSU is at its best and will probably beat any team in the league.

He had one fine Senior season. I believe he and J Greene are our only POY's.

You're right. How could I forget the year Al had. Came out of nowhere to do it. Might be the only conference POY ever to be a late summer addition to a teams roster. Usually, those guys are contributors at best.

Biggest stroke of luck Jim Christian ever had. He went from being an average coach to best in the MAC with a player he really did not recruit.
